Due to continued growth, the organization is seeking an HR Manager to build, lead, and fully own the company's HR function. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all core HR functions across a growing multi-state workforce.
- Develop and implement scalable HR policies, processes, and best practices aligned with company growth objectives.
- Oversee onboarding, offboarding, background checks, I-9 documentation, employee files, handbooks, and HR compliance processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws across multiple states.
- Partner closely with leadership on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Support employee engagement, company culture development, career progression planning, and retention initiatives.
- Manage performance review processes, employee coaching, and professional development programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and HR guidance.
- Collaborate with payroll and operations teams to support payroll-related processes and workforce administration.
- Develop and maintain HR reporting, metrics, and organizational data to support business decisions.
- Assist leadership with compensation planning, benefits administration, training initiatives, and workforce scalability.
- Support recruiting coordination and workforce growth initiatives as the company continues to expand nationally.
- Build long-term HR infrastructure capable of supporting a rapidly growing organization.
- Identify areas for operational improvement and proactively implement solutions that improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 10 years of Human Resources experience, including experience in an HR Manager or HR leadership role.
- Renewable energy, energy infrastructure, industrial services, construction, field services, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- SHRM or HRCI certification required.
- Strong experience supporting multi-state workforces and navigating federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Experience managing onboarding, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and HR/payroll coordination.
- Experience with Gusto, QuickBooks, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms preferred.
- Proven ability to operate independently and fully own HR functions within a growing organization.
- Experience supporting field-based or technician-heavy workforces highly preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
