Freelance Web Developer and Designer

Requirements

Must have:

• Proven full-stack web developer and designer with a strong portfolio of responsive websites and applications.
• Solid expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, AJAX, XML, and JSON, with a good grasp of UI/UX fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with back-end frameworks such as Django, Spring Framework, Ruby on Rails, or ASP.NET, plus strong RESTful API development skills.
• Practical knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Microsoft SQL Server, with exposure to data visualization tools considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, as well as experience with Docker containers and CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methods and experience using project tracking tools such as Jira or Trello.
• Ability to work independently across multiple assignments while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Strong analytical thinking, effective troubleshooting ability, and a disciplined approach to delivering polished digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites and web applications using a wide range of technologies across the front end and back end.
• Finish our Etsy storefront and build a gallery for artwork sales, with future support for a peptide storefront.
• Design clear, intuitive interfaces and user journeys that improve the customer experience across devices.
• Implement responsive, engaging visual layouts using frameworks such as React, Angular, Bootstrap, or Vue.js.
• Build and support back-end systems, connect RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, and ensure smooth data flow.
• Manage and optimize databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Use version control and collaborate within Agile workflows using tools such as GitHub, SVN, Jira, and Trello.
• Deploy and support applications using DevOps practices, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux-based environments.
• Run unit tests, support architecture planning, and apply SEO best practices to improve visibility.
• Work with us on wireframes and prototypes, incorporate feedback, maintain documentation, and stay current with emerging technologies.
