General Description
The Project Manager will assist in managing scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the Technology division, specifically the Technology Alignment & Resilience (TAR) team. The primary focus is on data center exit, infrastructure consolidation, and referencing of on-premise legacy applications to AWS.
This role is hands-on and execution-oriented, partnering directly with application teams, infrastructure, security architecture, and Cloud providers to plan and deliver workstreams required to enable data center exiting and consolidation. This includes application discovery and dependency mapping, migration and modernization planning, refactoring coordination, risk remediation, and sequencing of technical and business cutovers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate execution of data center exit and consolidation initiatives, including sequencing, dependency management, and cross-team readiness.
- Drive project delivery for refactoring and modernization of on-premise legacy applications to AWS, working closely with applications owners, cloud engineering, and AWS partners.
- Partner with technology teams to support application discovery, dependency mapping, and migration planning to enable safe and efficient decommissioning of legacy infrastructure.
- Coordinate with security architecture, risk, and infrastructure teams to ensure cloud onboarding, control alignment, and remediation activities are integrated into delivery plans.
- Translate high-level DC exit and cloud strategy into clear execution plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
- Lead the delivery of large, complex cross-functional projects and manage implementation activities for concurrent work-streams.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, identify risks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technology projects, with demonstrated experience in infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or data center exit initiatives.
- Proven experience coordinating on-prem to cloud (AWS preferred) application migrations or refactoring efforts.
- Strong understanding of legacy infrastructure environments and challenges associated with modernization, technical debt, and application dependencies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to "manage upward," think on your feet, and exercise good judgment.
- PMP or Project Management certification is a plus.
- Financial Services background is a plus.
