Job description

If you're a junior or senior studying business or finance, you've likely noticed the entry-level job market becoming increasingly competitive. While AI reshapes traditional analyst roles at major banks and consulting firms, we offer a different path.

The BizDepot M&A Associate Academy is a defined, paid program that starts during your final years of college and leads to a real M&A advisor seat.

About the Role

You will join our Seller Acquisition Track as a part-time Business Development Intern. You will work directly with business owners considering a sale, alongside our senior team, while you finish your degree.

What You'll Do

  • Engage business owners responding to our outbound and inbound campaigns.
  • Book qualified discovery calls onto our advisors' calendars.
  • Run discovery calls to understand seller motivation, business basics, and timing.
  • Manage follow-up with the discipline of a top-performing SDR.
  • Keep our CRM clean and pipeline organized.
  • Sit in on live closing calls to learn how mandates are won.

What You'll Learn

  • How private companies are valued: SDE, EBITDA, owner add-backs, and industry multiples.
  • How sellers think and how trust is built in M&A conversations.
  • Sales language, tactics, and frameworks that close seven-figure engagements.
  • The full deal lifecycle from first contact through closed transaction.
  • How to use AI as leverage in real M&A work.

Where This Leads

This is the first stage of a five-stage track: Business Development Intern, Valuation Analyst, Seller Account Executive, Sell-Side M&A Associate, and M&A Advisor. Every promotion is earned, and every step changes both your role and your compensation.

You'll Thrive Here If You

  • Are currently enrolled (juniors and seniors preferred) in business, finance, economics, psychology, communications, or a related field.
  • Can commit 12 to 15 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule.
  • Are tired of guessing about your future and want a defined, ambitious path.
  • Have prior sales, BDR, or strong campus leadership experience.
  • Communicate confidently on the phone and in writing.
  • Bring grit.

The Deal

  • Part-time, 12 to 15 hours per week, fully remote (U.S.-based).
  • Monthly stipend of $1,200 during the Academy phase.
  • A full-time salary plus commission role waiting after graduation if you perform.
  • Commission upside on deals you help close.
  • Direct mentorship from our principal broker and senior advisors.
