Sales Director, Strategic Partnerships (Payments / Incentives)

Remote + travel (must reside near a major airport)

About the Role

We're partnering with a high-growth fintech company seeking a Sales Director, Strategic Partnerships to drive new business within the payments, prepaid card, and incentives space.

This is a true hunter role focused on owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting through close—while building strategic partnerships with organizations that rely on card-based payment solutions to deliver rebates, rewards, and incentive programs.

The ideal candidate brings direct experience in prepaid, payments, or card-based solutions and understands how these products are used to power large-scale incentive and disbursement programs.

What You'll Do

Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

  • Generate new business through strategic outbound outreach, social selling, AI-driven research, and intent data.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline within target accounts in the payments, incentives, and fintech ecosystem.

Sales Cycle Management

  • Lead consultative sales cycles, with a focus on understanding how clients currently deliver payments, rewards, or disbursements.
  • Present and position payment and prepaid card solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver proposals, pricing, and contract terms aligned with business objectives.

Relationship Building

  • Develop relationships with decision-makers across payments, prepaid, incentive, and rebate organizations.
  • Navigate complex buying groups and multi-thread enterprise accounts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.

Closing & Performance

  • Negotiate and close high-value deals aligned with company goals.
  • Consistently exceed quota and pipeline targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM activity.

Market & Product Expertise

  • Stay informed on trends across payments, prepaid cards, disbursements, and fintech.
  • Differentiate solutions against legacy providers in the space.
  • Confidently lead demos and presentations with minimal support.

What You'll Bring

  • 5-7+ years of B2B sales experience in fintech, payments, prepaid cards, or disbursement solutions.
  • Proven success generating pipeline through outbound prospecting.
  • Strong understanding of card-based payment products (prepaid, gift card, stored value, or similar).
  • Experience selling into organizations managing rebates, incentives, or payment distribution programs.
  • Track record of closing complex, enterprise-level deals.
  • Proficiency with modern sales tools (Salesloft/Outreach, LinkedIn Navigator, Gong, Salesforce/HubSpot).
  • Metrics-driven mindset with consistent quota attainment.

Preferred Background

  • Experience with prepaid, gift card, or stored value programs.
  • Familiarity with companies in the payments and incentives ecosystem (e.g., disbursement providers, card issuers, fintech platforms).

Note: Candidates with primarily agency, retail, or loyalty consulting backgrounds without direct payments experience may not be the best fit for this role.

Compensation (Dallas, TX)

  • Salary/Pay: $130-150K base + uncapped commission ($260-300K OTE)
  • Location: Remote + approximately 50% travel initially (must live near a major airport)
  • Benefits: Excellent healthcare, life insurance, and 401(k) with company match (details provided during interview process)

Why This Opportunity

You'll join a rapidly growing fintech company modernizing how businesses deliver payments and incentives. With strong leadership, advanced sales tools, and a high-impact product, this is an opportunity to build meaningful partnerships and drive significant revenue growth in a large, evolving market.
