Crew data analysis associates bring data insights to life with predictive and descriptive analytics, create meaningful business intelligence and data visualization dashboards, and learn data profiling and cloud data practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain structured and unstructured data pipelines supporting clinical and device-generated datasets
- Integrate and normalize data from multiple sources into scalable, coherent datasets for analytics and reporting
- Support clinical trial data operations related to robotic surgery and medical device studies
- Work with large and complex datasets generated from surgical robotic platforms, including device telemetry and procedural metrics
- Develop processes for ingesting, transforming, and validating data from formats such as JSON, flat files, tab-delimited files, and other semi-structured sources
- Collaborate with Biostatistics and Data Management teams to improve data accessibility, quality, and usability
- Assist in building data models and databases to support downstream analytics, dashboards, and reporting capabilities
- Support exploratory analysis and data preparation activities for clinical and operational stakeholders
- Participate in data governance, documentation, and process improvement efforts
- Contribute to automation and optimization of data workflows within the Clinical Affairs organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 1--5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related technical roles
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
- Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling concepts
- Experience working with JSON and flat-file data formats
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, MedTech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated environments
- Exposure to clinical trial data or clinical data management processes
- Experience supporting robotics, IoT, sensor, or device-generated datasets
- Familiarity with statistical programming or analytics tools such as SAS or R
- Experience with visualization/reporting tools such as Tableau
- Understanding of data quality, validation, and governance best practices
- Experience working in Agile or matrixed enterprise environments
Technical Environment/Tools
Preferred experience with some combination of:
- Python
- R
- SAS
- SQL
- Java
- Tableau
- JSON/semi-structured data formats
- Clinical or operational data repositories
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
