About the Role
Epiq Counsel is partnering with a global, market‑leading technology company to recruit an experienced eBilling Process Manager (Legal Operations) for a long‑term, fully remote engagement.
This role supports a highly sophisticated legal operations organization responsible for managing one of the largest and most complex outside counsel portfolios in the world.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (field of study flexible).
- 4--7 years of experience in legal operations with a strong focus on eBilling process management.
- Deep, hands‑on experience with Legal Tracker in a large enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to manage eBilling workflows process.
- Experience supporting very large organizations with significant outside counsel spend and high matter volume.
- Comfort working cross‑functionally in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong technical aptitude and ease navigating sophisticated legal and financial systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, long‑term engagement.
- Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.
Nice to Have
- Litify experience (the client is planning a future migration from Legal Tracker to Litify).
- Experience supporting global technology companies or similarly scaled organizations.
- Exposure to legal spend analytics, forecasting, or financial operations.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a Legal Tracker subject‑matter expert, supporting a high volume of matters and outside counsel.
- Ensure invoice compliance with billing guidelines and resolve escalations and complex issues.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Legal Operations, Finance, AP, and regional legal teams.
- Support outside counsel onboarding, billing rule configuration, rate and timekeeper management.
- Analyze billing and matter data to support legal spend management and reporting.
- Contribute to ongoing process optimization, documentation, and operational improvements.
