Senior Backend Engineer

Ferretti Search is delighted to partner with a fast-growing technology organization to locate their next Senior Backend Engineer.

Fully Remote (United States)

Compensation

$150,000--$175,000 base salary (plus equity/bonus potential)

Schedule

Full-time, fully remote

What will your day look like?

• Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and asynchronous event-driven architectures
• Infrastructure & Reliability: Contribute across CI/CD, infrastructure, deployment tooling, and operational ownership in a fully remote engineering environment
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders on architecture, product decisions, and process automation

Who are you?

• Experienced Backend Engineer: 5 years building scalable distributed systems with strong backend architecture expertise
• Technical Problem Solver: Deep understanding of SQL, data modeling, event-driven systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Autonomous & Collaborative: Comfortable operating independently while actively contributing to technical and product discussions across teams

Preferred Experience

• Node.js and TypeScript expertise
• AWS infrastructure experience
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
• Experience in fintech or regulated industries
• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Snowflake, or AI-enabled developer tooling
