You will contribute to the testing and validation of a cutting-edge platform designed to simulate complex, planet-scale scenarios with millions of interacting entities.
Accountabilities
- Execute functional, stability, load, and performance testing across a cloud-based simulation and game engine platform.
- Test and validate AtomEngine and its ModKit, ensuring reliability, usability, and performance across single-player and multiplayer scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using industry-standard QA and issue tracking tools, ensuring clear and actionable reporting.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, procedures, and testing documentation in collaboration with test leadership.
- Perform exploratory testing of gameplay systems, scripting tools, and modding capabilities to ensure a high-quality user experience.
- Communicate findings clearly with engineering and development teams to support rapid iteration and issue resolution.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, testing workflows, and overall product quality standards.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced development environment and ensure timely execution of testing tasks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in video game QA, testing, or related software quality assurance roles.
- Hands-on experience with game scripting or modding tools such as Unreal Blueprints, GDScript, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including functional, regression, load, and stability testing.
- Familiarity with PC gaming hardware and game development environments.
- Experience using version control systems, bug tracking tools, and test management platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, prioritize, and isolate software issues effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and precise bug reporting and collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple testing priorities in parallel.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required due to contract requirements).
- Passion for gaming, systems testing, and improving user experience in complex interactive environments.
