This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Lead Cloud Engineer in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex cloud engineering and FinOps initiatives within a highly collaborative, technology-driven environment.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain cloud cost dashboards, reports, and analytics to improve visibility into infrastructure spending and resource optimization.
- Establish, enforce, and monitor cloud tagging standards and cost allocation policies across environments.
- Automate cloud cost management processes and integrate FinOps tooling into CI/CD workflows and operational pipelines.
- Administer and optimize cloud cost management platforms, including Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization solutions.
- Proactively manage server infrastructure, system monitoring, and core cloud operations to ensure reliability and performance.
- Support and administer Microsoft and Citrix technologies across enterprise environments.
- Design and implement project plans, risk mitigation strategies, and contingency processes for infrastructure and cloud initiatives.
- Define operational best practices, technical documentation, and support procedures to improve consistency and scalability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to 24/7 operational support when required.
- Mentor and cross-train team members on cloud technologies, automation practices, and infrastructure management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of overall IT or cloud engineering experience, including at least 2 years focused on FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of major cloud platforms, cloud pricing models, and infrastructure cost management principles.
- Hands-on experience with Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization or similar FinOps platforms.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Citrix technologies within enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects independently in a remote work environment.
- Experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure operations is highly preferred.
- FinOps Certified Engineer or related cloud/FinOps certifications are considered a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for workshops or team collaboration sessions.
