Overview
A newly created opportunity within a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a finance professional to support commercial FP&A activities. This role will partner closely with leadership to drive sales planning, pricing strategy, and financial insights. The position offers visibility to executive leadership and an opportunity to shape financial processes during a period of transition and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis for commercial operations, including sales and pricing initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for improved profitability.
- Develop and refine financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present executive-level reporting materials, including board-ready presentations.
- Analyze trends in revenue, pricing, and customer performance to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with finance team members focused on operations/cost accounting to ensure alignment across financial reporting.
- Support ongoing process improvements within FP&A, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities and data tools.
- Contribute to transition of responsibilities from senior leadership with structured knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant FP&A experience (manufacturing environment required).
- Strong experience supporting commercial finance functions (sales, pricing, or revenue analysis).
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power Query or light coding is a plus.
- Experience preparing executive presentations and board-level materials.
- ERP experience required (SysPro preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment & Travel
- Fully remote role with occasional travel (approximately once per quarter, up to once per month at peak).
- Travel includes 2--4 night visits to a production facility in New York State.
