Specific requirements for US-based team members outside the Pacific time zone include working at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific time daily.

The Role

As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Modern Health's employer relationships from launch through renewal. You will partner with Fortune 500 companies to enhance product adoption, engagement, client retention, and growth. Serving as a product expert, strategic consultant, and mental health advocate, you will collaborate closely with senior HR executives and business leaders. Your insights will contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform.

Ideal candidates possess experience in managing large-scale client relationships, analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations. This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact millions of lives.

Note: This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of high-priority client accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, including Benefit Managers, HR Executives, and consultants.
  • Support sales initiatives by representing the Client Management function and its value to customers.
  • Conduct regular global account meetings to align customer strategies.
  • Collaborate with Global Client Managers to ensure a unified approach across regions.
  • Develop and execute custom program strategies for clients, integrating Modern Health into their existing benefit offerings.
  • Drive engagement with Modern Health's programs, cultivating client champions for references and case studies.
  • Serve as the main contact for global solution updates and developments, while managing escalations and urgent matters.
  • Understand and navigate diverse cultural nuances in global client interactions.
  • Provide local implementation support in collaboration with the US-based implementation team.
  • Deliver tailored Benefit Overview sessions and support clients in understanding available training topics.
  • Lead global QBRs/ABRs and manage day-to-day reporting requests for global customers.
  • Utilize data and insights for strategic decision-making, employing storytelling and actionable recommendations.
  • Leverage tools like Looker, Gainsight, and Salesforce to assess client health, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Drive measurable outcomes in engagement, utilization, retention, renewals, and product expansion.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Sales, and Clinical Care teams to advocate for clients and ensure successful adoption.

Who You Are

Experience & Background

  • 6+ years of experience in client relationship management or B2B tech sales to HR leaders. Experience in employer benefits and healthcare is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of strategically and autonomously managing a book of business (30+ customers), including engaging with executive sponsors and HR decision-makers.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving high retention, adoption, renewal, and expansion metrics, including closing significant expansion opportunities.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing account strategies to maximize customer value and drive revenue growth.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships and serve as a strategic advisor to clients.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving client issues and risks.
  • Adept at objection handling and client negotiation.
  • Engaging presentation skills, with experience leading high-visibility projects like QBRs/ABRs.

Equal Pay for Equal Work Act Information

Starting annual pay ranges for remote work are provided based on location zones:

  • Zone 1 (SF Bay Area, NYC Metro): $111,744 - $139,680 USD
  • Zone 2 (Other CA, Seattle): $100,570 - $125,712 USD
  • Zone 3 (Other NY, Other WA, DC, Austin, CT, IL, MA, NH, NJ, OR, RI, VT): $100,570 - $125,712 USD
  • Zone 4 (Other TX, AL, AK, AZ, AR, CO, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NV, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, WY): $89,395 - $111,744 USD

Compensation is determined by qualifications, skills, experience, and may fall outside these ranges. Full-time employees are eligible for Modern Health's equity program and benefits. Some roles may include On Target Earnings (OTE) with base pay and commission.
