RealEstateU is a leading U.S.-based real estate education provider with >100k users. We're currently rebuilding our technical surfaces to support rapid growth, both existing and new. We believe that by relying on your good judgment, using AI as a force multiplier, that we can rapidly build and deploy new solutions to support our business.

The Role

This is a role for an engineer who wants ownership of systems, who appreciates having a big impact in a small team, and who wants to ship fast. You will have a high degree of autonomy in how you solve problems. AI should already be extensively integrated into your workflow---you should genuinely enjoy using it as a natural extension of how you build and think.

This role focuses on new greenfield services which need to be rapidly iterated and deployed, but we do have a range of live and in-development platforms which you will also have opportunity to work with.

Key Projects

• B2B dashboard: We would like to support our B2B sales team with a dashboard which simplifies onboarding new partners (e.g. brokerage with many agents). This will require gathering price data via API to our LMS, rule-based systems which define deals per product/state, integration with DocuSign, and triggering events for our CRM.
• Partner dashboard: We would also like to support our partners who come on board with a dashboard which allows them to track agent progress, upcoming requirements, and issue new courses to agents.
• KPI dashboard: Create a custom KPI dashboard which creates meaningful insights and allows trends to be tracked from a plethora of sources such as our website, LMS, payment processors, and CRM.
• Support automation: Improve and scale the support experience for staff and customers by integrating FreshDesk with agentic flows, our Knowledge Base, and our task-tracking suite.

Existing Platforms

Although not the primary focus of this role, we do have some live and in-development platforms which you may need to integrate with, or may be able to contribute to:

• LMS: This is our largest platform with ~100k users. We're looking to speed up the development environment, de-scope functionality to reduce maintenance surface, and move to a more API-driven basis to enable more appropriate external services.
• Website + Frontend: We are modernizing our frontend, powered by Next.js, shadcn, Base UI, and a custom design system following DTCG proposed standards. We'd like to use this as a springboard to establish common primitives, tokens, and components across all surfaces.

The Stack & Environment

Given that this role focuses on establishing new platforms, the stack choice will be defined based on what is convenient for you and the project. Here are some we're either already using, or are interested in:

• Backend: Node.js + Express.js (LMS), Python, Go.
• Database: MongoDB (LMS), Supabase, PostgreSQL.
• Frontend: React (LMS), Next.js, shadcn + Base UI, Tailwind.
• Infrastructure: Sanity, Vercel, Cloudflare, GitHub.

About You

• Architect: You have the judgement and knowledge necessary to move from direct implementation in code, to the abstraction layer of steering what AI should do for you.
• Ships fast: You are not just integrating AI into your workflow, your workflow has become entirely agentic. You are excited to build and deliver projects, and to improve your process for the next build.
• Agile > Waterfall: When an integration or data does not yet exist, you can still prototype while defining what's needed to turn it into a reality. You prefer to deliver something rough now to get feedback than to wait until it's 'perfect'. It's not painful to scrap something to explore a new path.
• API comfort: All of these platforms will be heavily reliant on data ingestion and API integrations. Setting up robust APIs needs to be one of your strengths.
• Strong English: You speak fluent English and can hold technical conversations without ambiguity.
