We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer. This is a full-time permanent hire position with our client. You can work 100% remote (anywhere in USA) for this position. In this role, you will be responsible for the company's cloud environments, components-maintenance, optimization, issue analysis, automation, consulting, and planning of cloud solutions. You should be able to work within established processes and leverage the latest tools, automation, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, create and maintain company's cloud solutions
- Automate cloud related tasks
- Maintain cloud environments in Azure and AWS
- Communicate with customers and resolve complex issues in production environments
- Automating service deployment and maintenance tasks
- Ability to read code
- Monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing tuning strategies to improve query response times.
- Define user access controls, managing permissions, and implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Actively monitor database health, identifying potential issues, and resolving database related errors and anomalies.
- Apply software updates and patches to maintain database compatibility and security
Required Skills
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in an Infrastructure related role
- 4+ years of experience building, delivering, and managing public private and hybrid cloud computing platforms (Azure /AWS) and other open source and commercial DevOps technologies
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Ability to read and write complex scripts to automate system deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Solid communicator and ability to resolve more complex issues
- Experience using source code management tools
- Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres) a nice to have
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Managed Services experience, e.g. ITSM & ITIL, for a plus
- Valid certificates in either AWS, Azure, Google or Oracle cloud is a huge plus
